I debated over whether or not to post this entry on my blog, but a few of you had wanted to know what my award looked like, so here it is. I mean, I guess this is what blogs are for right?
The Marketing Excellence award is given every year at the National Sales Meeting to the person who makes the most contributions in the marketing efforts for the company. Usually it is given to a Product Manager who has had a particularly big year or has had a big product launch. So imagine my surprise when I got a call from my boss who was at the meeting in New Orleans. I had recently completed managing 2 big corporate marketing intiatives: re-designing and launching a new company website (on my list of links to the left of this page) and the new product catalog. Both were year-long projects. So with that, along with the other projects I had managed in 2007, the sales and marketing group voted and gave me the honor.
It was a very humbling and strange experience. I have never been recognized for my work before, but I also felt that I didn't deserve sole recognition for projects that involved a very large team effort. So it was a bit strange and uncomfortable in a way. But, in the end, I guess it did feel pretty good :) Plus, it came with a nice big cash bonus! Can't beat that!
Anyway, I won this award back in January, and here we are in March and I finally got the actual, physical award today. Pretty, isn't it? Now the pressure is on to keep up the level of work! eeeeek!
Well, enough of that. For those that wanted to see it, here it is.

Congrats on the award! You soooo deserve it!
I wish you would just take the leap and open some kind of a animal rescue, agility, day care, etc. You seem to enjoy it a lot and it could be a lucrative venture. At least look into the possiblity of doing it.
Hugs
MOM
Hi Alli-
Weekends are just to short, darn. I am a little late checking in this Saturday. Work called 1st thing this morning for a change.
We did our usual WAC at Jim & Norah's on Wednesday. We actually got there late cause I was cleaning up something at work until 1730. don't worry though cause I made up for lost time. Also we went to play canasta at Ken & Terri's on Friday pm. I am still paying for the snacks today. I need to kick up the exercise more.
It was nice this morning below 70 and now at 1315 it's 90. The weekend it was pushing 100.
I have been enjoying the new compaq laptop bought with 10 year anniversary $. Wireless is wonderful. Getting a network running with mixed XP and VISTA computers is proving to be WAY befond me sofar. It sure would be nice to print from the laptop.
Cindy made me (NR) the big plant that has been getting leggy in the front room. We bought a similar plant at the comm and I cut pieces from the old one and we now have 5 really low plants in the pot. We have had good luck getting them to root before.
I can feel your boredom setting in so will sign off.
225 DTG:-)
